**The rules for travelling to England are changing.** From **Monday 4 October at 4am**, the current traffic light system will be replaced by a single ‘red list’, with simplified travel measures for arrivals who have not visited a country on the red list in the past 10 days. Eligible fully vaccinated travellers from non-red list countries, which currently includes Germany, will: ★ need to book, pay for and take a day 2 test (https://www.gov.uk/find-travel-test-provider) ★ fill out a passenger locator form ahead of travel (https://www.gov.uk/provide-journey-contact-details-before-travel-uk) ★ no longer need to take a pre-departure test when travelling to England ★ not need to self-isolate upon arrival in the UK Unvaccinated children travelling to England from Germany do not need to self-isolate upon arrival (https://www.gov.uk/guidance/how-to-quarantine-when-you-arrive-in-england#rules-for-children-and-young-people) From 4 October travellers who have had a mix of eligible 2 dose vaccines (e.g. a combination of AstraZeneca and Pfizer BioNtech) will be recognised as fully vaccinated. --------------------- **Passengers who** **aren’t recognised as being fully vaccinated** with authorised vaccines and certificates under England’s international travel rules, will still have to: ★ take a pre-departure test, PCR or antigen 3 days before travelling (https://www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus-covid-19-testing-for-people-travelling-to-england) ★ fill in a passenger locator form ahead of travel (https://www.gov.uk/provide-journey-contact-details-before-travel-uk) ★ take a day 2 and day 8 PCR test (https://www.gov.uk/find-travel-test-provider) ★ self-isolate for 10 days upon arrival in England from a non-red list country Test to Release will remain an option for unvaccinated passengers who wish to shorten their isolation period (https://www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus-covid-19-test-to-release-for-international-travel) -------------------------- You can find full details of both the current rules and the new rules from 4 October at: ➡https://www.gov.uk/guidance/red-amber-and-green-list-rules-for-entering-england You can find information about entering Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland at: ➡ www.gov.uk/uk-border-control Full details of the government’s announcement, including information on planned changes to testing requirements from the end of October 2021 to can be found here: ➡ www.gov.uk/government/news/new-system-for-international-travel"
