Do you want some positive news? After I moved 600Wp solar panels from the garden on to the roof, the max daily electricity production increased from ~1kWh to ~3.74kWh and my current problem is that we produce more electricity than we can consume during the day, today we wasted (well, donated) 1.2kWh It is not economical to buy an accumulator at this level and I cannot find a solar technician to install solar panels this year. I bought 2 solar panels for ~900eur and now it slashes some 20eur/month (so it pays off in about 4-5 years) from our electricity bill, it should get better in the summer.

"Under the proposals people could be given new incentives such as interest-free loans to install solar panels, and higher payments from energy firms for the power generated." electricityinfo.org/news/wylfa-solar/

Two solar panels on the roof have lowered my estimated electricity bill from ~80eur to ~60eur. The solar panels cost ~900eur and can be amortised in about 4 years, likely sooner. On a sunny day in March, the panels generate ~3.5-4kWh and on a cloudy day like yesterday about ~1kWh.
What stops people from putting solar panels on the roof? Alright, my balcony in London is too small for even two panels, but probably would be large enough for one panel.
